Square Dance Lessons

The Southern Lights Round and Square Dance Club invites you to attend their classes in Western Style Square Dancing beginning September 8, 2010. You will learn from one of the best teachers anywhere, the inimitable, Stan Russell. First two classes are free!

Learning to square dance is very affordable. A two-hour class costs about one-half the price of a movie ticket!

Classes are taught at the Stoney Mountain Center, Stoney Mountain Rd, Hendersonville. They run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Please plan to arrive at 7:00 p.m. on September 8 for class registration.

Open House - Check Out Square Dancing

Saturday, August 21st – Open House Dance - 7:30 pm
We invite prospective students to join in the fun. The second tip (or call) will include everyone, followed by an ice cream social.

 

Summer Classes

Our summer “D-B-D” Class is offered every Wednesday evening at the Stoney Mountain Recreation Center. There have been over five sets dancing and Stan has us tied up in knots. How soon we forget what we learned just a little while ago. Some of the dancers that have been doing this for many years have commented that this is a great way to brush up on the calls and polish their dancing skills.
